About Us

The five founding members of the Arab Educational Information Network (Shamaa) were intent, from the time of its founding, that it should conform to international standards.

Following a series of meetings and consultations with the relevant governmental authorities, and in accordance with decree no. 3323 issued by the Lebanese government on Feb 3, 2010, Shamaa became an autonomous Arab organization, overseen by its own Board of Trustees and run by an Executive Committee in collaboration with an administrative and technical staff.
